Do I get a certificate after electrical work in Caringbah?
Yes, for electrical work. NSW says the person who does the electrical test must submit a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work. That’s due no later than seven days after the test. Since 1 July 2026 it goes through the Building Commission NSW eCert portal. Paper and PDF forms are no longer accepted.
The customer gets a copy by email when the electrician adds their address in the portal. Keep it with the paperwork for the house.
