Electrician Dural
Switchboards, power faults, lighting, smoke alarms and EV chargers, handled by licensed local electricians who quote first.
Licensed electricians for Dural homes, at any hour
A safety switch that keeps tripping, a dead power point or a flickering light needs a licensed electrician in Dural. Our electrician Dural team takes calls day and night and works in houses, townhouses and flats.
We give you the price before work starts, and it stays fixed once you approve it. Evening and weekend rates differ from daytime rates, so you’ll hear the figure first. Quotes are free.
What electrical faults come up in Dural homes?
A switchboard is the panel that splits the incoming power into circuits and holds the breakers and safety switches. A safety switch is a device that cuts power in a fraction of a second when current leaks to earth.
Boards that need an upgrade
A board with ceramic fuses, or no safety switch on the lighting and power circuits, can’t protect every circuit. A switchboard upgrade adds that protection and room for new loads.
Circuits that trip or go dead
A dead power point or a circuit that trips again has a cause in the wiring. Our wiring fault tracing covers both.
Smoke alarms that have expired
An alarm that chirps or has passed its replacement date needs changing. We fit interconnected smoke alarms so one alarm sounding sets off the others.
Old downlights and dim rooms
Halogen downlights run hot and draw more power than LEDs. Our LED light fittings replace them fitting by fitting.
Signs your board needs attention
- A safety switch that trips again after you reset it
- Lights that flicker or dim when a heater or oven starts
- A switchboard that feels warm or smells of burning
- Ceramic fuses, or no safety switches at all
Cooling, cooking and charging: appliances in Dural homes
A ceiling fan moves air in a room without running an air conditioner. On a low setting in reverse, it pushes warm air down from the ceiling. Our ceiling fan fitting covers the wiring and the switch.
A wall oven or an induction cooktop needs a circuit rated for its load. In an older home, the board may need work first. We handle oven and cooktop installation at a fixed price.
A home EV charger draws a steady load for hours, so check the board has room before you buy one. Our home EV charger installation is priced before we start.
Emergency electrician Dural: any hour, day or night
No power, sparks or a board that won’t reset deserves a call on 1300 164 206. We answer 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and quote the price before work starts. See how our urgent electrical callouts run.
- Look at the street. If your neighbours have no power either, the fault is outside your home.
- If only your home is dark, check the board for a tripped safety switch.
- Unplug the appliance that was running when the power went.
- Stay well away from any wire that is down.

Will I get a compliance certificate for electrical work in Dural?
Yes, where the work needs one. The person who tests the work submits the Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work. They must do it no later than seven days after the test.
From 1 July 2026, NSW says these certificates must go through the Building Commission NSW eCert portal. When the electrician adds your email address, the portal sends you a copy. Keep it with your house records.
