Do I get a certificate after electrical work in Burwood?
Yes. NSW requires a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work. The person who tests the work submits it, no later than seven days after the test. From 1 July 2026 it goes through the BCNSW eCert portal.
The portal emails a copy to the customer when the electrician adds the customer’s email address. Keep the copy with your records for the home.
