Will I get a certificate after electrical work in Kogarah?
Yes. NSW says the person who tests the electrical work submits a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work to Building Commission NSW as soon as practical, and no later than seven days after the test. From 1 July 2026 it goes through the BCNSW eCert portal.
The portal emails the customer a copy when the electrician adds your email address. Keep it with the paperwork for the property.
