Plumber Curl Curl
Blocked drains, leaks, hot water and gas fitting, fixed by licensed local plumbers who quote the price before work starts.
Local plumbing help for Curl Curl, day or night
A kitchen drain that backs up, a tap that won’t stop dripping or a hot water unit gone cold needs a licensed plumber in Curl Curl. Our plumber Curl Curl team answers the phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
You get the price before any work begins, and it’s fixed once you say yes. Evening and weekend rates differ from daytime rates, so we quote your visit first.
Which plumbing jobs do Curl Curl homes call us for?
The 2021 Census counted 560 separate houses, 119 flats and 742 occupied private dwellings in Curl Curl. Houses and strata flats split pipe responsibility differently. Four jobs are routine.
Drains that run slow
A sink that gurgles or a shower that pools points to a partial blockage. A camera inspection shows whether clearing the blockage will hold or the pipe needs repair.
Downpipes and stormwater
A cracked downpipe or a blocked pit sends roof water where it shouldn’t go.
Leaks you can’t see
A water bill that climbs when your use hasn’t changed points to a hidden leak. Our team starts with tracing a hidden leak before anything is opened up.
Hot water that fades
A unit that runs cold halfway through a shower needs a repair or a replacement. We’ll tell you when hot water unit repairs stop making sense.
Who looks after which pipes at a Curl Curl property?
Sydney Water says the owner normally looks after private water and wastewater pipes up to where they connect to its services. Its pipe ownership diagrams show where that line falls.
At the street end, Sydney Water owns the wastewater junction. The owner is responsible for the connection to it. The owner also clears tree roots that enter the junction at that point, and keeps Sydney Water’s water meter free from damage.
Emergency plumber Curl Curl: call any hour, day or night
A pipe that bursts on a Saturday night or a toilet that overflows at 3am can’t wait for opening hours. Call 1300 164 206 and a licensed plumber answers. Our emergency plumbing callouts run all day, every day.
Evening and weekend rates differ from daytime rates, and you get the price before we start. Find your main tap now, not mid-leak.
While you wait for us:
- Turn the water off at the main tap.
- Switch off the power at the switchboard if water has reached power points or lights.
- Open the lowest tap in the house to ease the pressure in the pipes.
- Lift rugs and valuables off the floor, then keep the area clear.
Gas fitting and hot water at home in Curl Curl
Moving a heater, swapping a cooktop or adding a bayonet point is gasfitting work, and only a licensed gasfitter can do it. Our licensed gas fitting covers new connections, appliance swaps and pressure testing.
A storage hot water unit keeps a tank of heated water ready. An instantaneous unit heats the water as it flows. Either type runs on gas or electricity. The right pick depends on your household and the space for the unit.
If you smell gas, leave the house and don’t touch switches or appliances. Call us from outside at any hour.

Do I need approval for plumbing work in Curl Curl?
Some plumbing jobs need an inspection. For those, the plumber submits a Notice of Work before starting. NSW lists emergency work and minor works, like replacing tap ware or an existing hot water system, as jobs that don’t need one.
A Certificate of Compliance confirms the finished work complies with the plumbing regulations and the Plumbing Code of Australia. Keep your copy with your house papers.
Northern Beaches Council publishes an online Flood Hazard Map of flood prone land. Its flood page says a Basic Report suits flat blocks with one flood level across the block, for example where a lagoon backs water up.
Plumber Curl Curl: the lagoon, the pipes and the homes
Northern Beaches Council lists Curl Curl Lagoon as one of five lagoons it manages. It says runoff from roads, roofs and carparks flows into its creeks and lagoons before it reaches the sea. Its tips include never pouring chemicals down the drain.
The NSW Flood Data Portal lists a Greendale Creek Flood Study for Northern Beaches Council. Its study area includes parts of Curl Curl, Beacon Hill, Brookvale, Freshwater and North Curl Curl, and it calls Curl Curl Lagoon a significant feature of the lower catchment. Before you plan new drainage work, check council’s flood information for your block.

Of the 742 occupied private dwellings, 165 were rented. NSW lists a burst water service and a blocked or broken toilet as urgent repairs in a rental, and the tenant tells the landlord or agent straight away.
If you live in a strata flat, the NSW Government says owners repair anything within their own property, and the owners corporation repairs common property. In most cases, plumbing in internal walls and fixtures, like baths, toilets and sinks, is the owner’s job. The owners corporation looks after plumbing in boundary walls and under the floor.
A liner only works in a structurally sound pipe, and a damaged section needs digging out and replacing first. Where a private drain is sound, pipe relining work repairs it from the inside.
Plumber Curl Curl: who looks after the pipes?
| Where you live | Who looks after the pipes | What to do first |
|---|---|---|
| A separate house | Normally the owner, up to where they meet Sydney Water’s services | Call a plumber. |
| A flat in a strata building | In most cases, owner: internal walls and fixtures. Owners corporation: boundary walls and under the floor | Ask your strata manager if it’s unclear. |
| A rented home | Urgent repairs include a burst water service | The tenant tells the landlord or agent straight away. |
We also take jobs in Freshwater, Brookvale, Beacon Hill and Dee Why. To check your suburb, see where our Northern Beaches plumbers work.
