Electrician Rosebery
Faults, switchboards, lighting and appliance installs for Rosebery flats and houses, done by licensed local electricians who quote first.
Licensed electricians for Rosebery flats and houses, day or night
A circuit that trips whenever the oven and the air conditioner run together needs a licensed electrician in Rosebery. Our electrician Rosebery team is on call at any hour.
Every job is priced before work starts, and the figure is fixed once you approve it. Evening and weekend rates differ from daytime rates, so we quote your visit first.
What electrical faults turn up in Rosebery homes?
The 2021 Census counted 5,658 occupied homes in Rosebery. Of those, 4,015 are flats or apartments and 1,306 are separate houses.
A safety switch is a device that cuts power in a split second when current leaks to earth. A breaker cuts power when a circuit is overloaded. If one keeps tripping, tracing the cause of trips finds the faulty circuit. We don’t just reset it.
Some boards still have ceramic fuses. Others have no safety switch on the power and lighting circuits. A switchboard upgrade fixes that, and we price it as a fixed job.
When the board is telling you something
- A breaker or safety switch that trips again soon after a reset.
- Lights that dim when the oven or the air conditioner starts.
- A warm panel, a crackle or a burnt smell at the board.
- Ceramic fuses where breakers should be.
Electrician Rosebery: air conditioners, lights and chargers in strata
In a strata building, some electrical jobs need approval first. The NSW Government lists wiring, cabling, power or access points as minor renovations. So are a reverse cycle air conditioner and changes to recessed lights. Ask the owners corporation, committee or strata manager.
Once a job is approved, the wiring is ours to do. That can mean fitting a new appliance on its own circuit, or swapping old halogens for LED lighting upgrades. A ceiling fan needs a firm fixing and a circuit that can run it.
Lights in a block are split too. NSW says the owners corporation repairs lights on common property and any lights recessed into the ceiling. An owner repairs lights that hang into their own home.
Car chargers have their own rule. NSW Energy says most charging projects in a strata scheme need a resolution and a by-law approved at a general meeting. Our EV charger installation work comes after that.

- Look out the window. Are the streetlights out, and do your neighbours have power?
- If your neighbours have power and you don’t, check the board for a tripped safety switch.
- Unplug the appliance that was running when the power went.
- Stay at least 8 metres from fallen wires, and treat them as live.

About half of Rosebery’s occupied homes are rented. NSW Fair Trading says landlords must make sure smoke alarms are working, and a licensed electrician must repair or replace a hard-wired one. It notes some exceptions for strata schemes. A dangerous electrical fault is also an urgent repair in a rental.
We handle smoke alarm replacement too. The ABS makes small random changes to its figures for privacy.
