Do I get a certificate for electrical work in Malabar?
Yes. NSW says the person who tests electrical work must submit a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work. It goes to Building Commission NSW no later than seven days after the test. From 1 July 2026, all of them must go through the BCNSW eCert portal.
When the electrician adds your email address in the portal, NSW says the system sends you a copy automatically when the certificate is lodged. Keep it with your house papers.
