Will I get a certificate after electrical work in Milsons Point?
NSW says that whenever electrical work is done, electricians must submit a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work. It says this proves compliance and installation safety inspections have taken place. The person who tests the work must submit it as soon as practical, and no later than seven days after the test.
From 1 July 2026 it has to go through the Building Commission NSW eCert portal, and paper and PDF forms are no longer accepted. The customer is emailed a copy when their email address is added in the portal.
